Hulu rly? Now what?
Popular premium streaming service Hulu has started to block its paying customers who were using VPN in order to access the service. This move is highly debatable since many US ex-pats have been using VPN in order to stream their favourite shows and movies. Negative comments are becoming viral on social media and we surely understand why their users are pissed off.
I am an expat, and have been accessing HULU via VPN since I left the States. Today they’ve blocked the use of VPNs. I’m pretty bummed out, any way around this? Or shall I just start pirating more?
So if you try to access Hulu stream via VPN, you’ll likely receive this message:
So, shall we start pirating?
No, of course not. Even though some handy tools like Popcorn Time emerged lately, we sure don’t want that to start pirating since there is a way around this. All major VPN providers will just have to rotate their IP addresses, since this ban is purely IP based. It’s a cat and mouse game and this is just the beginning. First provider to offer new IPs and successfully unblock Hulu after the ban is Hide My Ass! Other providers like PIA, Strong VPN and IPVanish will follow soon.
So if your current VPN provider is not working for Hulu either wait till they obtain new IPs, or buy an account from Hide My Ass.
